Focusing on the production of distilled bitumen for road construction, the refinery processes up to 200,000 tons of crude oil per year, using the most advanced technology and processes certified according to international standards.
In addition to bitumen, Bitex Refinery produces other distillates such as unfinished Heavy Gasoil and Virgin Naphtha, which are used in other refineries and in the petrochemical industry.

Beginnings of Bitex Refinery: A Legacy Starting from Izvor 99
Bitex Refinery began its journey in 1999 with the establishment of the bitumen and hydrocarbon trading company, Izvor 99, by Mr. Rebani Likometa.
Construction of the First Bitumen Refinery in Albania
In 2012, with a clear vision to expand and improve the activity, the company RBH Beline Sha was founded, and the decision was made to build the first bitumen refinery in Albania.
Start of Operations at the Balldren Refinery, Elbasan
The refinery, which later took the name Bitex Refinery, began operations in 2016 in Balldren, Elbasan, with a maximum processing capacity of 200,000 tons of crude oil per year.
